How to use it
- Open Voice Notes to Text and press record.
- Talk. Your words appear on screen as you say them.
- Stop when you are done. The transcript lands in your library.
- Copy it, download it, or play the recording back first to check a part.
Good to know
- Your recording stays in your browser, so you can listen back right away or download the audio to keep it.
- On iPhone, live transcription is not available in the browser, so your audio is sent to our server to be transcribed instead.
- One finished note uses one action.
Your data
Recordings live in your browser and are never saved to our servers. Transcripts are saved to your account library so you can come back to them.
Tips
- Short notes beat one rambling one. Your future self reads three tidy transcripts faster than one saga.
- Say the punctuation you care about out loud, like headings, and tidy up after. The transcript is a draft that is 95% done.
Questions
Where does my recording go? +
Nowhere, on desktop. It stays in your browser. On iPhone it is sent to our server for transcription because iPhone browsers cannot transcribe live.
Can I download my transcripts? +
Yes, any note in your library can be copied or downloaded as text, and the audio too when you want it.
