Bum Bum's toolbox
Posters in, calendar events out.
See an event you want to go to? Snap the poster. Bum Bum reads the photo, flyer, or screenshot, pulls out the title, date, time, and place, and builds the calendar event for you. Check the details, fix anything it misread, then save it to your calendar with one tap. If the poster lists a whole lineup, you get an event for each one. One action per poster read. Your photo is read to pull the details, then discarded; it is never stored.

Questions, answered
Do I need an account?
No. Read posters as a guest with 15 free actions, or create a free account for 75 actions every month. See pricing.
Where does my photo go?
It is sent to Bum Bum's reader to pull out the event details, then discarded. It is never stored and never shared.
What if the poster lists more than one event?
Bum Bum builds an event for each one it finds, up to six. A weekend market poster with three events on it becomes three calendar events. Download them one at a time, or all together in a single file.
What if it misreads the date?
Every field is editable before you save. When the poster is vague ("this Friday!"), Bum Bum flags that it had to work the date out, so you know to double-check that one.
Which calendars does it work with?
All of them. The .ics download works with Apple Calendar, Outlook, and most others. The Google Calendar button adds the event in one tap.
Posters into calendar events, the short guide
How it works here
Take a photo of an event poster, flyer, or screenshot, and get a ready-to-save calendar event with the title, date, time, and place filled in. One read covers up to six events on the poster for one action. Relative dates get resolved for you: a poster that says Friday means the coming Friday. Your photo is read and discarded, never stored.
Photos that read well
Square-on beats artistic. A crooked photo can be straightened first with the Image Cropper, or simply retaken head-on; dates read far more reliably that way. Screenshots of digital posters work just as well as photos of paper ones.
Honest about what it is
If a photo holds no event at all, a pet, a selfie, a menu, Bum Bum says so instead of guessing. And always eyeball the year on posters near New Year; humans get that wrong too. No poster handy? The sample poster on this page drops in editable events for free, so you can see the whole flow first.
